WHAT YOUR DOLLAR CAN DO

$10 buys pencils, notebooks and other school supplies for Hand in Hand students.


$25 purchases two basketballs or two soccer balls for recess and P.E.


$50 sends one student on a field trip.


$75 supports community outreach programs critical to the growth and success of our network.


$100 provides conflict resolution and leadership development programs for middle and high school students.


$250 buys 25 books in Hebrew or Arabic. 


$500 buys one laptop computer, sorely needed at all the schools.


$1,000 pays for art and music classes, important for creating a common language for children from different backgrounds.


$2,500 pays the full educational costs of one student for one academic year.


$5,000 pays the full educational costs of a pair of students, one Jewish and one Arab, for one academic year.


$10,000 boosts the technology and training fund, enabling the purchase of new computers and software, internet access, video teleconferencing, and special computer training for teachers and students.


$15,000 underwrites community outreach programs. Each school holds a series of programs open to the public, from educational seminars on cultural conflict to concerts of Middle Eastern and Western music. 


$25,000 funds the Principal’s Forum, a monthly meeting of Hand in Hand principals from all around Israel, ensuring important coordination and development of new curriculum and programs. 


$35,000 pays one teacher’s salary for one academic year. 


$45,000 funds special education for one academic year, including individual tutoring, speech therapy and occupational therapy for children with special needs. It also pays for a part-time psychologist to conduct testing and assessments, and to help integrate students into the classrooms.


$50,000 funds the music program at all three Hand in Hand schools for one academic year, including teachers, instruments and books.

OR funds the science program at all three Hand in Hand schools for one academic year, including teachers, supplies, and trips to the science museum in Jerusalem. 

OR funds the art program at all three Hand in Hand schools for one academic year, including teachers and supplies, plus the art classes provided by Jerusalem's extended-day program.

OR funds the physical education program at all three Hand in Hand schools for one academic year, including teachers and equipment.


$65,000 pays the costs of one full classroom of 25 students for one academic year. 


$75,000 funds the academic enrichment program at one school for one academic year, providing the study of art, science, music, physical education, and computers/technology to all students. 


$100,000 names a classroom. A gift of this size can be directed toward a specific project, such as the expansion of junior high and high school programs, or wherever it is needed most.
