OUR SCHOOLS

Hand in Hand's schools are located throughout Israel.

We provide a fully bilingual education. Students learn to read and write in both Hebrew and Arabic — and from third grade on, in English, too. Our schools are public; all children are welcome to attend.

JERUSALEM  Hand in Hand's first school, opened in 1998, is located in the bustling capital of Israel, center of three major religions, mix of ancient and modern. It has grown from 20 students housed in one temporary, makeshift classroom into our largest school, with a high school that graduated its first class of seniors last year. More...

GALILEE  One of Hand in Hand's two original campuses (along with the Jerusalem school), the Galilee School was founded in 1998. It was the first, in 2004, to launch a junior high program. Last year it celebrated the arrival of a music program.  More...

 

WADI ARA  Opened in 2004, Bridge Over the Wadi is located in the Arab town of Kfar Kara in the Wadi Ara valley of central Israel. Never before had Israeli Jews commuted from their neighborhoods to an Arab town to attend school;  the program's success sends a strong message that Israeli-Arab coexistence is realistic. More...
