April 11th, 2016 Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat hosted the students and parents for the opening of an exhibit with art created by Hand in Hand students that will be hung in the Mayor’s Office and in the Jerusalem Education Authority for the coming year.

April 10th, 2016 The Hand in Hand bilingual school in the Galilee was honored to host Gary Jacobs, founder and board chair of the High Tech High charter school network in San Diego. Mr. Jacobs was very impressed, expressing his appreciation for the manner in which our school staff are leading Project Based Learning (PBL) dealing with complex questions in humanities and sciences, while combining theoretical studies, creativity and a connection to the outside world and surrounding community.

April 16th, 2016  Over 700 Arab and Jewish adults and children gathered for our annual country-wide community event - with parents and children performing songs they prepared, games, art and music for kids - and a chance for each of our communities to connect to our country-wide network. April 14th, 2016 The first ever Hand in Hand Olympic Games took place on April 14th, 2016, bringing together over 150 students from our bilingual schools in the Galilee, Jerusalem and Wadi Ara. Students competed in short and long distance running, long jump, high jump, and shot put. After all that, they still had energy for friendly soccer and dodgeball matches, just before the medal ceremony.

February, 2016 71 community activists and 45 alumni from all six Hand in Hand communities came together for a weekend to support one another and strengthen ties between the communities.

The call will take place on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:30 PM Eastern Time (10:30 AM Pacific Time).  During this call, you will have the chance to hear an update on Hand in Hand directly from Executive Director Shuli Dichter and his colleagues Rebecca Bardach and Mohamed Marzouk. 

February 15th, 2016 "You are the best ambassadors peace can possibly have."                   

Hand in Hand’s over 200 alumni from Jerusalem, the Galilee, and Wadi Ara are bringing what they’ve learned in their years at Hand in Hand out to the world through community service, studying, and activism.

December 30th, 2015 We have some wonderful news to start the new year -- Hand in Hand has received full municipal support to open an official integrated bilingual 1st grade in a public school in Haifa in 2016-17!  Last night the Mayor of Haifa, Yona Yahav, visited the preschool to sit down with parents and local activists in a show of support. He said:

December 13th, 2015   Last night, Channel 10 featured Hand in Hand's hanukkiah from last year's White House lighting on their nightly news segment!    

December 4th, 2015  We are very pleased to announce that Hand in Hand has won an Honorable Mention as part of 2015 Dror Prize 2015 for social change! We were one of 60 organizations who were nominated for the prize, and one of 7 who made it to the final stage.
