July 20th, 2016 Hand in Hand CEO Shuli Dichter and Education Director Dr. Inas Deeb were invited to speak in front of 4000 people at the American Federation of Teachers’ national conference in July where a resolution was passed in support of Hand in Hand. “The cooperation between Hand in Hand and AFT is a profound expression of solidarity between people who are mobilizing for the sake of the next generation.”   - Hand in Hand CEO Shuli Dichter

1200+ Arabs and Jews through the country gathered for the Iftar post-Ramadan break- fast meals throughout June and July 2016. 

June 22nd, 2016 Within one week, you have helped us raise $350,000 towards opening the doors of bilingual integrated education for 200 new Jewish & Arab students throughout Hand in Hand’s 6 schools. Thank you so much to our 500+ donors from Israel and around the world, and to the tens of thousands more who helped spread our message.

April 16th, 2016  Over 700 Arab and Jewish adults and children gathered for our annual country-wide community event - with parents and children performing songs they prepared, games, art and music for kids - and a chance for each of our communities to connect to our country-wide network. April 14th, 2016 The first ever Hand in Hand Olympic Games took place on April 14th, 2016, bringing together over 150 students from our bilingual schools in the Galilee, Jerusalem and Wadi Ara. Students competed in short and long distance running, long jump, high jump, and shot put. After all that, they still had energy for friendly soccer and dodgeball matches, just before the medal ceremony.

April 10th, 2016 The Hand in Hand bilingual school in the Galilee was honored to host Gary Jacobs, founder and board chair of the High Tech High charter school network in San Diego. Mr. Jacobs was very impressed, expressing his appreciation for the manner in which our school staff are leading Project Based Learning (PBL) dealing with complex questions in humanities and sciences, while combining theoretical studies, creativity and a connection to the outside world and surrounding community.

March 8th, 2016 Today Nadia Kinnani, our Jerusalem School Principal, was one of eight women recognized for "making major contributions to society" by former President Shimon Peres and Naomi Campbell in an International Women's Day ceremony! We are so proud of Nadia and all of the powerful women in our lives who work tirelessly to make the world a better place for all of us. 

April 11th, 2016 Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat hosted the students and parents for the opening of an exhibit with art created by Hand in Hand students that will be hung in the Mayor’s Office and in the Jerusalem Education Authority for the coming year.

February, 2016 71 community activists and 45 alumni from all six Hand in Hand communities came together for a weekend to support one another and strengthen ties between the communities.
