A fire was started the two first grade classrooms in the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem sc

Emi Palmor, the Director General of the Ministry of Justice and two of her legal aids ran a civics workshop for tenth grade students at the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School. They brought a case of discrimination for the students to analyze from different perspectives, and then "judged" the case, and decided what they thought was the correct way to rule.

This week the President Rivlin's staff came to tour Wadi Ara. Hand in Hand CEO Shuli Dichter led them on a tour of Kibbutz Maanit, Katzir, Umm Al-Fah'm and the Hand in Hand Wadi Ara school in Kfar Kara. 

On Tuesday, November 11th, 40 elementary school principals from all over Jerusalem gathered at the Max Rayne Jerusalem Hand in Hand school to learn about the unique educational model as part of the Municipal Principal's forum. The session focused on racism and violence in Jerusalem in the aftermath of the anti-Arab graffiti on the school and the escalating tension in Jerusalem.

November 2nd, 2014   "An Eye-opening Visit at the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School" "Human development is based on creativity and innovation, on encountering difference," said Professor Manual Trajtenberg in his visit to the HIH Jerusalem School. "We need to make use of your educational knowledge and experience to teach other schools." 

November 10th, 2014  A note from the middle and highschool educators at the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School:  Dear Parents and friends,  During these upsetting days of violence and tension in the city, we work harder than ever to deepen our discourse on values of tolerance and peace. Last week, we saw anti-Arab graffiti on the walls of our school, and the discourse around tolerance and the danger of violent acts deepened, and we began to understand how our contact with differences can enrich and empower us...

“Death to Arabs” was graffitied seven times on the walls of the Max Rayne Jerusalem School during the night of October 29th. Workers from the Jerusalem Municipality came quickly to remove the offensive and unwanted slogans, and teachers and principals held discussions in classes, allowing students to share their feelings about the sight of this racist and violent graffiti on the walls of their school. 

The Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School and Community were invited to to paint New Year's greetings in Hebrew, Arabic & English in a huge wall mural at Jerusalem's First Station for all to see!  May this year bring Peace and Blessings to us all!  Photo Credit: Sophie Schor    

September 5th, 2014 Hand in Hand's five bilingual schools opened this week with a record number of nearly 1,200 Jewish and Arab students! Hand in Hand schools and communities show that we can live another reality.  We can approach the conflict in another way:
