2015 Galilee Olive Festival!

The Galilee community celebrated the end of the olive harvest together with the Haifa community this week. What you see here is only part of the joyful gathering – a special exhibit of Jewish and Arab artists on the topic of olive trees, activities for children, food and a performance by the local Arab-Jewish Galilee circus!

“Olive trees are embedded in the Galilee landscape, and in our lives. They are rooted in Arab and Jewish culture here. They allow us to enjoy the beauty in nature, and at the same time – raise deep feelings and questions for us about tradition, identity, territory, political strife, and peace.”
- Gideon Taran, Hand in Hand staff
