6th graders "leave a mark" in Wadi Ara School

March 1st, 2015

At the Hand in Hand Wadi Ara School, the 6th grade students participated in the "leaving a mark" project - in which students create something in their school during their last year there.

Inas and Iris, teachers in the school, worked with students to create a mural of words that inspire them, like equality, peace, responsibility, and togetherness, painted on recycled cans transformed into flower pots.

"The kids worked hard! They took responsibility and it came out even more beautiful than we expected."

-Iris, teacher at Wadi Ara school
