Galilee School Holds Ceremony Honoring Prime Minister Rabin

Hand in Hand's Galilee school held a memorial last week to celebrate the life of the late Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, assassinated on Nov. 4, 1995.

Principal Kamal Abu Younis spoke to the students about Rabin's legacy and the significance of his death. "Yitzchak Rabin said in one his speeches promoting the peace process, 'We are going forth today in a war that has no injured or dead, nor blood spilled or suffering. This battle is the only one that is enjoyable to participate in: it is the struggle for peace.' It is no doubt that not only did the state of Israel lose a brave leader, but so did the entire Middle East."
