Johaina Dakwar Salim

Johaina assumed her role as Principal of the Hand in Hand Max Rayne Jerusalem Elementary School in September 2020, but has long been a part of the community. As a parent to children in the school, Johaina strongly identifies with the goals and values of the Hand in Hand community.

Prior to Hand in Hand, Johaina worked primarily in special education as a teacher and occupational therapist. She led educational staff and worked with students at the Alnour School for Special Education, and the Tzur Baher and Um Tuba elementary schools. Johaina holds an M.A. with Honors in Education and School Administration from the David Yellin College, a teaching certificate in Health Education from the Haifa Regional Teacher Training Program, as well as a B.A. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Haifa and the Technion Institute.
