Nadia Kinani

Nadia is the Director of Hand in Hand’s Education Department. A longtime leader in the field of Jewish-Arab partnership and education, Nadia leads the production and planning of Hand in Hand’s unique, bilingual educational materials.

Nadia served as Principal of the Hand in Hand Max Rayne Jerusalem school between 2010-2018, bringing her years of expertise and dedication to hundreds of Arab and Jewish students. As Principal, Nadia oversaw the development of innovative curricula and teacher training, worked on molding the school’s vision, and strengthened the school’s bilingual model.

Prior to her role as principal, Nadia worked as a special needs teacher, later joining the founding parents of the Max Rayne School in 1998 as a first grade teacher. Nadia also holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from the David Yellin College of Education, a master’s degree in educational administration, and is a recipient of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership Fellowship in Jerusalem.

Nadia is also dedicated to empowering women and advancing their status in society, and is involved in initiatives that encourage volunteering and contributing to the community among Arab professionals. Originally from Nazareth, Nadia now lives in Jerusalem. All three of her daughters are Hand in Hand graduates.
