Dr. Shahaf Gal

Dr. Shahaf Gal is the CEO of Hand in Hand.

Shahaf brings to this role over 30 years of experience as an academic, entrepreneur, and innovator in education and business. He holds a master’s and a doctoral degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Over the course of his career, Shahaf has designed, developed, and managed an array of programs for diverse educational institutions and networks, and has worked on the development of national education policy in Israel as well as policy in the United States, Colombia, India, and France. Shahaf initiated and worked on projects funded by NSF and the US congress, among others, and undertook part of his work in India at the request of Israel’s Foreign Ministry. Shahaf also served as a consultant to HIH during the development of our Galilee School in the late 1990s. Shahaf’s most recent position prior to joining HIH, which he held since 2018, was CEO of the Movement for Quality Government in Israel.
