First Day of School at Hand in Hand—September 1st, 2025

On September 1st, over 2,100 Arab and Jewish students returned to Hand in Hand’s schools across the country. After yet another a long, tough summer, we were thrilled to be together again—students, teachers, and parents alike.

Hand in Hand’s exceptional schools offer a rare and vital alternative to the long-standing separation and fear that plague Arabs and Jews in Israel. Across Hand in Hand’s five preschools, six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school, an alternative path is being forged courageously—a path based in mutual respect, equality, and compassion.
